I commit myself 100% to my job and everything else I undertake in life. I am committed to Cox Plumbing Co., Inc., its Vision and Mission, its current and future team, and its clients.
I am truly responsible for my actions and their outcomes, and I own everything that takes place in my work and my life. If there is something I want to see changed, I know that I must change first.
I always speak the truth. What I promise is what I deliver. I only make agreements with myself and others that I intend to keep. I communicate potential broken agreements at the first opportunity, and I strive to do right by that agreement.
“Good enough” isn’t good enough! I always deliver products and services of exceptional quality that add value to all involved for the long term. I look for ways to do more with less and stay on a path of constant improvement and innovation.
I speak well of my fellow team members, my clients, and Cox Plumbing Company, Inc. in both public and private. I speak to good purpose, using empowering and positive language and taking responsibility for my communications. I avoid sarcasm or gossip. Whenever possible, I greet people by name. I apologize for any upsets and then look for a solution. I only ever discuss concerns in private with those involved.
I totally focus my thoughts, energy, and attention on the successful outcome of whatever I am doing. I am willing to win but I also want others to win: Win/Win. I display confidence and pride in being a successful person and being part of a successful team.
I learn from my mistakes, consistently growing and mastering new skills so that I can help others do the same. I am an educator and allow my clients to make their own intelligent decisions. I impart practical and useful knowledge rather than just theory.
8. Team Work
I am a team player and a team leader. I do whatever it takes to keep the team together and achieve group goals. I focus on cooperation and always come to a resolution, not a compromise. I am flexible in my work and willing to change when necessary for the success of the team. I ask for help when I need it, and I am compassionate to others who ask me for help.
I have a balanced approach to life, remembering that my physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and familial needs are just as important as my professional and financial needs. I do my job well so that I can have quality time outside of work.
I view my life as a journey to be enjoyed and appreciated. In all that I do, I create an atmosphere of fun, friendship, positivity, and happiness so all around me can enjoy their lives as well.
I always look to company systems for a solution. If a challenge arises, I use a system correction before I look for a people correction. Company systems support all those in the company, while people solutions suggest that some people are “better” or “worse” than others. I follow company systems exactly until a new system is introduced, and I suggest system improvements at my first opportunity.
I am consistent in my words and actions so that my clients and teammates can feel comfortable interacting with me at all times. I am disciplined in my work so that my results, growth and success are consistent.
I am a truly grateful person. I say “thank you” and show appreciation often and in many ways. I want everyone around me to know how much I appreciate that they are in my life. I celebrate my wins and the wins of others, always grateful for the opportunity to succeed and see others succeed.
I conduct myself in a manner that is safe for myself, my co-workers, and all those around me. I operate according to all current safety standards. I report any hazards and suggest safety improvements immediately.
